Vastu for Business: Office & Shop Remedies That Actually Work

By Vastu Consultant Meera Iyer··8 min read

Field-tested Vastu adjustments to lift sales, harmony and cash flow in commercial spaces.

A business space carries different energetic requirements than a home. Sales floors need active fire and air; back offices need earth and stability; storage needs stillness. Applying home Vastu principles blindly to a shop or office creates friction — the space wants a different balance.

For the owner's or CEO's cabin: place the desk in the south-west corner, facing north or east. This anchors decision-making authority. Never sit with your back to the door or a window — it drains confidence within weeks.

The cash counter or accounts section belongs in the north — the direction of Kubera. Face north or east while handling money. A small silver bowl of water with a copper coin, refreshed weekly, activates the wealth corner.

Sales and marketing teams thrive in the north-west (air element — supports outreach and communication) or south-east (fire — supports drive and closing). Avoid placing them in the south-west; they become slow and defensive there.

The main entrance must open inward and be unobstructed. A dead plant, broken tile, or clutter within three feet of the entry blocks new client flow. Weekly maintenance of the entry alone accounts for measurable business shifts in most cases.

For persistent stagnation despite these corrections, check for an underground water source in the south (drains prosperity) or a beam directly above the owner's seat (creates chronic pressure). These are structural and require an on-site Vastu visit.
